Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators of Alabama

AMTEA will hold a pre-session meeting prior to the Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM) state meeting on Thursday morning, October 31, 2013 from 10am to noon.

On the agenda for this presession:

1. Elementary Mathematics Specialist advanced degree programs & certification
2. AMSTI certification for preservice secondary (6-12) mathematics teachers
3. Mathematics Education Teacher – Partnership, update
4. Mathematics content coursework for secondary preservice programs statewide

AMTEA will hold its business meeting on Friday afternoon, November 1, 2013, presided by president-elect Tommy Smith. The group will set an agenda for 2014.
